According to JBKlutse.com, Seedstars World the global seed-stage startup competition for emerging markets and fast growing startup scenes has announced that it is accepting applications for its local competition in Ghana.
Dubbed Speedster Accra, the competition will see 12 most promising startups in the country compete to represent Ghana at the Seedstars Summit in Switzerland.
According to techloy.com, the winning startup will have a chance to win $1.5 million in equity investments as they compete with other top startups across the world.
Previously, Ghana was represented by “Asoriba“, a web based church administrative application that enabled Pastors and Church Leaders to manage affairs of the church with seamless engagement for members.
Selam Kebede, the Associate to Africa was very delighted about Ghana’s participation and the quality of participants in the previous local editions. He also stated that Accra was a hub for innovation in Africa.
Interested startups which are less than 2 years old, have raised funding of less than US$500,000 and have built a minimum viable product ideally with existing traction and scalable nature can start applying http://www.seedstarsworld.com/event/seedstars-accra-2016/ right away.
The event, organized in partnership with Impact Hub, a co-working space in Accra will take place on August 21, 2016.
