The Electoral Commission of Ghana has given ghanaian voters the opportunity to monitor elections results from mobile devices anywhere, anytime to keep up with results from all 29,000 polling stations across the length and breadth of the country as and when they trickle in. This move by the Electoral Commission is highly commendable.
In this day and age where technology runs the globe, the EC has made huge strides in improving the electioneering processes with a massive investment in technology in this years election.
The Chairperson of the Electoral Commission, Mrs Charlotte Osei at a final press conference urged voters to download this new app developed by the EC to help them monitor elections results live as soon as they are certified and released.
The Electoral Commission of Ghana’s Thumbsapp mobile application gives you real-time access to the officially certified results of current and past elections. This year’s included and other subsequent elections in the future.
Thumbsapp is currently on Android Play Store and will soon to be released on App store for iOS users.
Madam Charlotte Osei is confident that the Electoral Commission will ensure free, fare and transparent elections this year.
